I love Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens! So when Katy told me she wanted her engagement photography taken there I was ecstatic! It is absolutely one of my very favorite place to shoot in Akron. The reason they chose this beautiful location is because it fits beautifully with their Jane Austin themed wedding next June. We started out in a sunny, but very windy environment – dodging a couple weddings they were hosting on the grounds, getting as many fabulous shots of Mike and Katy as we could.

We ended the afternoon at a tavern in downtown Hudson – the location of their first date. It was so great to get to know Mike and Katy, to see their love – how Mike made Katy laugh whenever possible, and capture their togetherness. Here are just a few great shots of that fabulous afternoon! We are sooo looking forward to their gorgeous wedding. Congratulations you two!
